This is one of the Bodegas (Vineyards) using their old barrels to decorate the edge of their property.

This is Abalos from up high in the mountains, our hotel is right in the middle

10.30am and 33 degrees already!!!  All those wonderful Rioja vineyards behind us, so much wine and so little time!!!

And right now it is 37 degrees and we are sitting on the terrace, in the shade with a lovely glass of Jose Luis Empathy 2008 Rioja, (it's nose is like morello cherries), listening to the house martins and sparrows, sitting in a lovely light breeze ........................ sorry I will shut up now :) x
